The Los Angeles Chargers will have both offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt and defensive coordinator Gus Bradley back alongside head coach Anthony Lynn for next season, per Chargers.com.
In their first season working together, the trio combined to lead the Chargers to a 9-7 record as they just missed out on a first playoff appearance in four seasons.
Bradley, who arrived last offseason after being fired as head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, had been courted by the Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks. However, he decided to stay in L.A. and signed a new three-year deal to boot.

Bradley made an immediate impact on the Chargers defense in his first year in charge. L.A. gave up just 17.0 points per game, which was the third lowest in the league. They also had the fifth-most sacks with 43 and the sixth-most interceptions with 18.
Article Continues BelowMeanwhile, the Chargers had by far the best red zone defense in the entire league, giving up a touchdown on just 36.1 percent of opponents’ trips.
As for Whisenhunt, the Chargers offense continue to surge in his second season with the team. The Bolts’ offense led the league in passing offense with 276.9 yards per game and were fourth overall in total offense.
Wide receiver Keenan Allen and running back Melvin Gordon both had career years under Whiz. Allen set a new franchise record with 102 catches and also had the second-most receiving yards with 1,393. Gordon also set a personal milestone with his first career 1,000-yard season.
Meanwhile, star quarterback Philip Rivers had another stellar season as he finished second in the league with 4,515 passing yards. He also had 28 touchdown passes and just 10 interceptions, his lowest total since 2009.
