While much of the focus around the league is on the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft, there are still some talented players still seeking their next opportunity in free agency. Among those is star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who suffered a torn ACL in the Super Bowl win with the Los Angeles Rams. Beckham remains unsigned, though NFL insider Ian Rapoport did speculate Friday as to whom the frontrunners were in the OBJ sweepstakes. Speaking via the Pat McAfee Show, Rapoport claimed the Rams were the “leader in the clubhouse” regarding a possible deal for Beckham.

“It's not a guarantee [he's going back to the Rams]…” said the NFL insider, Rapoport. “I don't think it's a slam dunk that he goes to the Rams, but they certainly seem like the leader in the clubhouse. He liked it there, I know he liked LA. [The Rams] know more about his medical than any other team. Their team doctor did the surgery. Other teams are interested but that to me seems like the most likely scenario.”
A reunion between Beckham and the Rams would make a ton of sense. The team just offloaded Robert Woods to the Titans. Beckham had been acquired largely to replace Woods, who missed much of the 2021 NFL season with an injury, and it would stand to reason that the Rams try to retain OBJ with Woods now in Tennessee.
Rapoport certainly seems to think LA would make the most sense for Beckham, especially after a successful stint that brought him out of the lows of Cleveland, where he was vocally unhappy, into the bright lights of LA where he managed to win his first-ever NFL championship.
