After the Los Angeles Rams lost to the New England Patriots by a score of 13-3, Rams coach Sean McVay was left in shock. According to NFL reporter Don Kleiman, McVay was still feeling “pretty numb.” Such brutal losses like this would put anyone at a loss for words.
McVay then said the obvious, the elephant in the room that no one wanted to address.
“I definitely got outcoached,” said McVay.

I definitely got out-coached.”

McVay is known as one of the premier offensive minds in the NFL. After the Rams hired him away from the Washington Redskins, they've had nothing but regular season success under his helm. It seems as if he truly fits with quarterback Jared Goff.
This past season they went 13-3 and easily captured the NFC West crown. Their only hiccup was in Week 14 against the Chicago Bears. The Bears held them to six points and they simply could not get past them. Goff threw turnover after turnover as the Bears dared him to force it deep.
In the same way, the Patriots were able to stop Goff. When he gets under pressure, he forces throws deep that aren't there. It's a bad practice of a young quarterback, and it ended up being his downfall.
Goff only threw for 229 yards on 18-of-39 attempts. He was also sacked four times and threw one interception.
