The Los Angeles Rams added a boost of starpower to their defense before the NFL trade deadline, acquiring eight-time Pro Bowl linebacker Von Miller from the Denver Broncos. Naturally, Rams defensive tackle and seven-time Pro Bowler, Aaron Donald, was pleased.

In fact, so pleased was Donald, that he compared his elation to one of the happiest days of his life.

“When was the last time you felt this happy?” he was asked by a reporter.

“I don't know, man. Probably when my baby was born,” Donald cracked.

Donald said he believes the addition of Miller has “upped” the Rams' Super Bowl odds, per ESPN's Lindsay Thiry.

The Rams currently sit at 7-1, tied with the Arizona Cardinals for the NFC West lead and the best record in football.

However, their defense has been a middle-of-the-road unit this season, and they've posted the fewest sacks in the NFL (8). Obviously, they're hoping Miller — one of the best pass rushers of his generation — will improve that figure.

Miller, too, had a quotable reaction to the trade. Per NFL.com's Grant Gordon:

“When I took off Tuesday morning, though, I had a nice view of the mountains and I told myself like, ‘Hey, taking off a Denver Bronco. When I land, I’m a Los Angeles Ram.’ I landed and the had camera crew out there, it was a warm welcome.  … I went to sleep 4-4 and woke up 7-1. … And you just got to let reality sink in that I get to play with Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey and Leonard Floyd and Matthew Stafford and his solid offensive line. … This team was ready to win it right now, ready to win championships right now. And I’m excited to be a part of it.”

Von Miller will make his Los Angeles Rams debut this Sunday vs. the Tennessee Titans at SoFi Stadium.
