The Los Angeles Rams took a significant leap forward this past season with their first playoff appearance and NFC West divisional title in well over a decade. Much of this success in Los Angeles was spearheaded by the impressive play of Pro Bowl quarterback Jard Goff under head coach Sean McVay's offensive scheme.
This has raised the bar of expectations for the 2018 campaign for the Rams to take the next step toward being considered a legitimate Super Bowl contender. This is a notion that Goff confirmed during an interview on NFL Network stating that McVay wants to “push it even further.” (h/t Chris Wesseling of NFL.com)

“Obviously he's done a tremendous job so far, and so far this offseason you've seen his want to push it even further. And we're right there with him. It's an exciting time.”
It is still quite early in the NFL offseason, but it sounds like the Rams are taking on the challenge of building off their tremendous level of success this past year. This has only become more of the mind frame of the organization after making notable acquisitions over the last few months with All-Pro cornerbacks Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters, Pro Bowl defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, and veteran wide receiver Brandin Cooks.
Los Angeles has the pieces in place for Goff to that couple potential top his production from the 2017 campaign where he finished 1oth with 3,804 passing yards, fifth with 28 passing touchdowns, and fifth with 100.5 passer rating. The 23-year-old' play should be a big part of determining how this upcoming season will unfold for the Rams.
The culture and mindset that McVay has quickly implemented in Los Angeles may see the team take the next step forward in 2018 toward competing for a Super Bowl.
