The Los Angeles Rams suffered their first shutout in the first half in the Sean McVay era after failing to put any boards on the board against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 53.
This figured to be one of the highest scoring Super Bowl games in history, but there was very little offense as the Patriots took a 3-0 lead into halftime.
McVay's team simply could not getting anything going offensively, but then again, New England wasn't able to capitalize all that much with Tom Brady and company only mustering a field goal.
But the Rams being held scoreless, it became the only time that has happened in the 35 games thus far under McVay, according to ESPN's Lindsey Thiry.

Obviously, this isn't the type of history that you want to be making in the biggest game of the season.
Still, it could certainly be a lot worse for the Rams at this point in the game, as their defense managed to put them in a good spot despite not being able to find any points.
Los Angeles will need to make a lot of important tweaks in the halftime locker room if it wants to find some momentum early on in the second half.
