The Los Angeles Rams defeated the defending Super Bowl champion, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 30-27 Sunday. It was not always close, as the Rams built a 24-point lead. Of course, Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady engineered a crazy comeback, tying the game with under a minute remaining.
However, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford showed some grit, leading his team down the field for the game-winning field goal.
After the game, Stafford offered a bold take on that drive.
Matthew Stafford on leading a game-winning drive:
"Steal somebody's soul. That's what it feels like sometimes where they're sitting there going, 'Man, we just had this great comeback,' and you get to reach in there and take it from them. That's a whole lot of fun."

“Steal somebody's soul. That's what it feels like sometimes where they're sitting there going, ‘Man, we just had this great comeback,' and you get to reach in there and take it from them. That's a whole lot of fun.”
Stafford is exactly right. Buccaneers players and fans alike must have felt just like that. Their soul was stolen away.
Tampa Bay fans watched as the Los Angeles Rams managed to give away a massive lead. Rams tailback Cam Akers fumbled the ball at the Bucs 1 yard line. Cooper Kupp fumbled. Matthew Stafford watched as a snap went over his head for another turnover. Then, in the final minutes, Akers fumbled again.
That all culminated in the Buccaneers erasing the 24-point deficit. They had climbed the mountain and tied the game with less than a minute remaining. Then Stafford got to work.
He completed a 20-yard pass to Kupp. On the next play, he found Kupp again running wide open up the middle for a 44-yard completion. Matt Gay hit the chip shot 30-yard field goal, sending Bucs fans home shocked.
