On Monday, the Golden State Warriors tried their mighty best to demonstrate how big the gap is between the reigning NBA champion and a team that rolls out a starting lineup that features guys with names like Cameron Payne and Chandler Hutchison, as they defeated the Chicago Bulls on the road, 149-124. The huge victory for the Warriors was in no small part because of the crazy-hot hands of shooting guard Klay Thompson.
Thompson broke the league record for the most 3-pointers in a game when he knocked down 14 of his 24 attempts from deep against the Bulls. Thompson’s shooting display has caught the attention of fans and personalities on social media, including Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff, who had an interesting reaction to the outside sniper’s feat.
It was @KlayThompson’s turn tonight

Goff was probably referring also to his history-making Week 8 outing against the Green Bay Packers at home.
In that game, Goff passed for 295 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions on 19-of-35 completions to lead the Rams to a 29-27 win and to an 8-0 record to start the season. According to ESPN Stats & Info, Goff is now the second signal-caller under 25 in the Super Bowl era to go 8-0 in his team’s first eight games of a season.
