The Los Angeles Rams will have arguably the biggest game of their season to date in Week 14 against the Arizona Cardinals, which head coach Sean McVay views as a measuring-stick contest for his team.
After opening up the campaign with a stout 7-1 record, the Rams dropped three games in a row. Even as they still have a slim chance at clinching the NFC West this season, the multi-game losing game provided a major blow to their chances of accomplishing this feat.
Two of the Rams' losses over the losing streak came against teams that currently sit at the top spot in their respective divisions, including the Tennessee Titans. This brought many to criticize them for their inability to pick up statement wins due to their 2-4 standing this year against teams with a winning record.
Heading into this upcoming clash with the current No. 1 seed in the NFC, McVay believes that the contest will offer a glimpse at just where his team is at this point in the campaign, which he touched on during a press conference on Saturday.

If the Rams aspire to make a late push for the top spot in the NFC West, then a win is needed in Week 14 against the Cardinals. On the other side, a home win for the Cardinals this week would mean that they would need a mere one more victory to officially clinch the division.
There sure is much on the line for both teams in what could be a thrilling matchup on Monday Night Football.
