The Los Angeles Rams made a bit of a splash with the signing of running back C.J. Anderson. It appears head coach Sean McVay will not hesitate to get him onto the field in Week 16.

Anderson has not had much time to get acquainted with the offense. According to Vincent Bonsignore of The Athletic, that will not prevent McVay from getting him some touches versus the Arizona Cardinals:

Doesn't look like the Rams will be shy getting C.J. Anderson onto the field as quickly as possible: Said Sean McVay: “You can see him playing a role as this week”

McVay's comments certainly come as no surprise. The Rams backfield has been hobbled by injury as of late. Running back Todd Gurley was briefly sidelined by a knee injury versus the Philadelphia Eagles. Meanwhile, running back Justin Davis left the game with a shoulder injury and was unable to return.

Although Gurley is expected to play, Los Angeles will likely look to avoid having him handle a heavy workload.

The Rams' injuries open the door for Anderson to potentially make an immediate impact. He has struggled to do so throughout the 2018 NFL. The former Pro Bowler was coming off his first career 1,000-yard rushing campaign when he signed with the Carolina Panthers before the season. He accrued just 104 yards on 24 carries in nine games before his departure and subsequent signing with the Oakland Raiders.

Anderson is now looking to end the year on a high note by helping the Rams with their upcoming playoff run.

As it stands, Los Angeles is a 14-point favorite on the road against Arizona, according to BetOnline.ag. To place a bet on the game or any others, click here and use promo code CLUTCH50 for a 50% Welcome Bonus when you signup with BetOnline.ag!
