The Los Angeles Rams are off to a blazing start to the 2018 season winning their first five games of the year for the first time since the 2001 campaign.
Los Angeles was able to secure their latest win on Sunday afternoon after edging out the Seattle Seahawks 33-31 on the road despite losing their top two wide receivers in Brandin Cooks and Cooper Kupp in the first half to the concussion protocol. There appears to be some positive news on that front with head coach Sean McVay declaring on Monday that both players are symptom-free, according to Rams' radio announcer J.B. Long.
Both #LARams wide receivers (Kupp, Cooks) in the concussion protocol symptom-free today. McVay optimistic they'll be available in Week 6.

This is a positive note for the Rams as this bodes well for both of them being able to take the field for Week 6 action on the road against the Denver Broncos. What should be noted is that each player wasn't evaluated in the concussion protocol with it being more of a precautionary move for both. This potentially shows that both didn't suffer that type of injury while putting them on track to miss no playing time in the process.
Cooks had suffered a brutal hit in the second quarter as he made a catch and throttled by Seahawks safety Tedric Thompson with a hit to the head on the play. Thompson had led with his shoulder as Cooks ducked his head that seemingly came in the path of the full force of the tackled. This gave the appearance it being a potentially a more serious injury than it turned out to be. Meanwhile, Kupp had been taken out of the game late in the second quarter after he was tackled down the ground.
If both players are unable to take the field for Sunday's game, the Rams could look to lean more heavily on Robert Woods, Todd Gurley, Josh Reynolds, and Gerald Everett in the passing game.
