Shortly following the Cleveland Browns' decision to part ways with head coach Hue Jackson eight games into the 2018 season, it saw many different names being put into the mix for the betting odds to fill that vacancy.

One of the notable coaches that were listed was Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay. However, McVay has taken a quick approach to shoot down any notion that he would even consider that opening as he voiced that Los Angeles is the only place that he wants to be, via Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk.

“I couldn’t be happier to be here with our players, with this organization, working for a great owner in [owner] Mr. [Stan] Kroenke,” McVay said Monday, via quotes distributed by the team. “Unless they decide they want to make a change, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”

McVay has made a tremendous impact on the Rams since his arrival in his first two seasons as he has helped turn the franchise into a powerhouse in the league. This saw the team break an over decade-long playoff drought last season while Los Angeles has taken that a step further so far this year being the last unbeaten team through the first eight games played.

The reigning NFL Coach of the Year has quickly developed a promising culture with the Rams that has positioned them to be a force in the league for many years to come. He has shown an impressive ability to not only be creative an offensive play caller, but also a great ability to connect with his players on a personal level while earning their respect.

McVay is one of the league's best young coaches, which the Rams have long-term plans for him to head their franchise. If anything, these comments should effectively take his name out of any conversion for the Browns or any other job in the future.
