Regardless of what happens in Sunday Night Football’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams, the latter have a spot guaranteed in the playoffs. However, their chances of winning it all could take a big hit if the injury star running back Todd Gurley suffered in the third quarter of the contest turned out to be serious.
Gurley was forced to leave the game due to a reported injury, according to the Rams’ official Twitter account.
Injury Update: Todd Gurley is questionable to return with a knee injury.
Before his exit, Gurley was having a nice game going for him, having scored his 20th touchdown of the season. Gurley entered the contest with 1,203 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns this season, and with extreme motivation to rebound from a sorry performance in last week’s 15-6 road loss to the Chicago Bears in which he only had 28 rushing touchdowns on 11 carries.
UPDATE: Todd Gurley has returned to the game and looked fine, as he caught a pass for nine yards upon his re-entry to the field.
