There is plenty of speculation surrounding the health of Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley going into the 2019 NFL season. The only thing that remains certain appears to be his approach to the game.

Concerns about the knee injury have raised questions about whether or not Gurley will look to avoid any unnecessary wear and tear moving forward. According to NFL Network's Omar Ruiz, he does not plan on changing up his running style.

“No, man,” Gurley told Ruiz. “For me, I've been doing this my whole life, so it would be so hard for me to even try to change my style of play. That's not even me. I don't even know how to describe my game. I'm just going to keep doing what I can do until I can't do it no more.

Gurley's comments are certainly encouraging since they are indicative of his confidence in his health. Of course, there is good reason for him to be confident since he finds himself in familiar territory once again.

Gurley had been one of the most dominant backs in college football before suffering a torn ACL. Despite the health concerns, the Rams still took him with the 10th overall pick. The former Offensive Player of the Year has since become one of the NFL's premier workhorses before the injury slowed down his 2018 campaign.

Although Gurley does not plan on switching up his running style, it is safe to say Los Angeles will do what they can to put him in the best position to stay healthy moving forward. They already put an emphasis on shoring up their depth in the backfield this offseason. It will be interesting to see what changes for the Rams' star.
