Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp orchestrated one of the more efficient seasons by a wideout in NFL history last year, and still, he sees that the league may not have seen the best out of his skill set just yet.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, Kupp was asked where he thinks he can get “better” with his play as a wideout. The reigning Super Bowl MVP winner noted that there is still plenty to work on heading into the 2022 season.
“There’s so much,” Kupp said. “Never will I ever think that I’ve arrived in any way. There’s so much work to be done. Anybody that thinks they play a perfect game, anyone who thinks they’re as good as they can be, they are … they’re wrong.
“That’s definitely not the way I see things, there’s so much we can do and I hope to continue to grow as long as I’m playing.”
Kupp not only posted career highs across the board in his 2021 campaign with the Rams, but he also shattered numerous team and NFL records along the way. For one, he set the record for the most receiving yards in a single season, including the playoffs; he tallied 2,425 such yards over 21 games played.
Kupp’s heroic efforts in the Rams’ Super Bowl-winning run were rewarded last week, as he put pen to paper on an $80 million extension deal.
After such a stout season, opposing defensive coordinators sure will be keeping a closer eye on Kupp over the 2022 campaign.
