Los Angeles Rams offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth is sick and tired of hearing about the non-call for the New Orleans Saints and thinks it's just an excuse the team and the fans are making for not winning the game.
On replay, it appeared that Rams corner Nickell Robey-Coleman which would have given them a first down and set them up for a chip shot field goal to win. Whitworth points out that the missed call wasn't the only one of the game and there were other calls that also hurt the Rams chances to come out with a win.

That'd be first and goal at the 1 down three points. If you look at our odds from the 1 this season, that's seven points. So, they'd be down four, and a field goal wouldn't matter. They would have had to score in that situation either way.
Whitworth points out that it wasn't the last play of the game and the Saints had a chance to make some plays in overtime but they weren't able to get it done, and it led to the loss.
“So, it's just one of those things that's a slippery slope, and it's an excuse. [However] you cut it. And the reality is they got football after that snap. They played in overtime with the football. New England had the same situation and won the game. They didn't score; we did.
“We can argue about it all day, but they had an opportunity to win the game and we won it.”
Whitworth does have a point saying they could have made more plays but if that call was made the Saints would have won that game and the NFL officiating made a big mistake.
