Matthew Stafford is set to get PAID this 2022 offseason. By how much? Well, that depends on the Los Angeles Rams.
As reported earlier, Stafford could command as high as $45 million per year from the Rams after leading the team to Super Bowl victory. However, according to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic, LA is actually hoping to give him a new deal for less–perhaps at $35 million annually.

That is still big money of course, but Matthew Stafford certainly could be missing out on a lot of money given how he played with the Rams in the past season. A $10 million difference is also not something to ignore given that players want to take advantage of their playing years as much as they can.

But then again, the Rams and Stafford are a match made in football heaven. It doesn't look like the star QB has any plans of leaving what he started in LA, so it's still highly likely that they reach an agreement one way or another.
Hopefully, the two sides get into an agreement sooner rather than later and enter the 2022 season with their eyes set on the prize. After all, that's definitely what matters for both of them.
