Miami Dolphin head coach Brian Flores again addressed Tua Tagovailoa's status as the team's starting quarterback amid all the Deshaun Watson rumors. The way Flores spoke Friday, it sure seems as if the Dolphins will not be trading for Watson.

Flores came out and said that barring injury, Tagovailoa will be the starter for the remainder of the season, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. While the Dolphins coach wouldn't shut down a Watson trade, Jackson notes that these latest comments make it appear unlikely that a trade will go down.

Miami has been after Watson for some time, but his current legal issues complicate matters. Watson is currently facing 22 civil cases from women alleging sexual misconduct. While Roger Goodell won't put the quarterback on the Commissioner's Exempt List right now, there are still so many questions about his future.

A recent report suggested that the Dolphins and Houston Texans had agreed on trade compensation, but Dolphins owner Stephen Ross wanted more clarity on the Watson situation ahead of next week's trade deadline. As of right now, it seems like he won't get that clarity.

This all doesn't necessarily mean a trade is 100% dead. There are still a few days left before the deadline, and perhaps things change quickly. But right now, it looks like Watson will be staying in Houston.

Meanwhile, if this trade doesn't happen, the Dolphins would get a longer look at Tua before determining his future. It has been a struggle this year in Miami, with Tua showing some flashes but also missing time due to injury. The Dolphins are 1-6.
