Gore has been staking his claim on the league for years now and the fact that Gore is still playing at a high level at 35 years old is incredible. He was fantastic in his time as a San Francisco 49er and especially his sophomore season where he ran for 1,695 yards and caught 61 passes for 485 yards.
The 14-year running back looks to have slowed down a little bit since his early Bay Area days, but Gore played very good football for three years with the Indianapolis Colts as well as this season for Miami.
Gore has been impressive his whole career in both pass catching situations as well as running the ball. Gore has had nine 1,000 yard seasons on the ground, his last of which was just two seasons ago with the Colts.
It's extremely rare to see a running back last this long in the league with all of the injuries that are associated with the position. The wear and tear that Gore has been able to overcome in his career is special.
Gore doesn't appear to be contemplating calling it quits anytime in the near future. As long as he continues to run and catch the ball at the level that he does, he'll have a place on NFL rosters for years to come.
