According to a recent report from Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, former Miami Dolphins pass rusher and Pro Football Hall of Famer Jason Taylor has a new gig in South Florida. Jackson has revealed that Taylor will replace Bob Griese as a co-analyst on the team’s radio broadcasts moving forward.

As a result, Taylor will hop in alongside analyst Joe Rose and play-by-play commentator Jimmy Cefalo.

This isn't Taylor's first rodeo, however, as such a decision hardly comes as a surprise. With the 75-year-old Griese electing to remove himself from the broadcasting industry, at least for the time being, Taylor quickly became next in line due to his connection to the Dolphins organization and his expertise in the booth. Taylor has already impressed as a broadcaster while encountering his first season as an analyst on Dolphins preseason telecasts for CBS-4 in 2019. Not only that, but he has relevant radio experience after calling Sunday evening NFL games for Westwood One in the past.

On the gridiron, the Dolphins unfortunately won't have the luxury of having Taylor on the field anymore even though Miami will need all the help they can get in 2020. With the New England Patriots securing former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and the Buffalo Bills landing former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs, the up-and-coming Dolphins can expect the AFC East division to remain quite competitive in this upcoming campaign. It seems as though the Dolphins and New York Jets will be battling it out to remain out of the AFC East cellar this time around.
