There seems to be more uncertainty with this draft because of the circumstances surrounding it. But Miami Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said the team is still taking the same approach.

When asked if there was a chance of moving up or down, Grier said that it isn't something they ever rule out. And it's something they will continue to evaluate until they are on the clock.

“In terms of moving up, we’re in same process we use every year,” Grier said via the Miami Herald. “Teams call us. We call every team. Every team calls every team. Everyone is doing their due diligence, just to see what options are available, if anyone wants to move up, trade up. For us it’s the same. I know it’s been scrutinized more because of all the picks we have and what we’re doing but it’s really the same process I’ve had since I’ve been here.”

A lot of what the Dolphins will do will probably depend on how their draft board falls. They have plenty of ammo to move up in the draft. But if they feel like they could get their guy later, they could pick up even more assets and move down a few spots. The Minnesota Vikings own the fifth, 18th, and 26th picks in the 1st round, and two more picks in the second round.

With still a lot of holes to fill, it would make sense to maybe trade back and try to get more picks. But if they have a quarterback picked out, and they feel like they need to trade up to get him, they need to pull the trigger.
