Although the Cincinnati Bengals are expected to take quarterback Joe Burrow with the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, there has been plenty of speculation regarding who will be the next quarterback off the board. The Dolphins currently own the No. 5 pick in the draft and are in the market for a future franchise quarterback. While the “Tank for Tua” talk made for some intriguing headlines during the 2019 NFL season, much has changed since then and it seems Herbert has managed to boost his draft stock.
Tagovailoa has reportedly made tremendous strides in his recovery from a hip injury. Unfortunately, the restrictions from the NF:'s response to the coronavirus pandemic has not given him an opportunity to dispel any concern pro scouts may have.
This has seemingly helped Herbert establish himself as the safer bet in Miami's eyes. Then again, this could all just be smoke and mirrors on their part to deter any of the other quarterback-hungry teams to stay away from Tagovailoa. Regardless, it will be interesting to see what the Dolphins decide to do.
