Most players that go to the Pro Bowl often make the trip to help unwind and get in one last game before the offseason officially starts. However, Miami Dolphins safety Reshad Jones used that time to etch his name into the Guinness Book of World Records.
Prior to the game, Jones broke the record for the longest pass to himself via Miami's official Twitter:
Yes, @reshadjones9 set at @GWR for throwing the longest pass… To himself.
And we have the footage to prove it. https://t.co/2qZOsB3slG

Jones successfully threw a 31-yard pass to himself, just edging out the previous record by a single yard. It goes without saying that this is no easy task. Perhaps what was even more impressive was that Jones actually had to slow up for his own throw. With a better heave, he may have been able to shatter the record rather than eclipsing it by just a yard.
Regardless, it was reminiscent of the dynamic skill set he displayed throughout the 2017 NFL season. The eight-year veteran led all safeties with 122 tackles to go with seven pass deflections, two interceptions, and three fumble recoveries. He managed to take two of those recoveries for touchdowns en route to his second Pro Bowl selection.
The Dolphins star safety registered two assisted tackles in the AFC's thrilling comeback victory over the NFC. Needless to say, it has been a surprising journey for the former fifth-round pick out of Georgia.
Jones was not the only one to make his way into the history books over the weekend. Cincinnati Bengals long-snapper Clark Harris broke the record for the longest snap at 36 yards and eight inches. Meanwhile, Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr bested Green Bay Packers defensive end Mike Daniels in a competition between who could break five piñatas the fastest.
