Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill's days may be numbered on the team, but he is focused on short term goals and the task at hand. According to Hal Habib of the Palm Beach Post, Tannehill was poised and professional as he took the podium this past Wednesday and spoke on his future days as Miami's play caller.
“What’s the good in wondering and pondering and wasting time thinking about it? It’s out of my control now. I’m focused on winning this one game in Buffalo.”
Tannehill realizes that he may not be with the Dolphins next season, but he's not letting that bother him.
“You focus on what’s in front of you and what you can control and just block out the outside noise. At this point in my career I’ve gotten a lot of practice at it, so it’s not too difficult.”
In response to whether he wants to stay with the team or not, the answer was simple and came easily for Tannehill.

Tannehill is doing everything can to block out criticism and speculation to this point and knows that things other than his performance on the field are out of his control.
“I really don’t care what people outside this building think. Honestly, as long as my teammates believe in me and the guys upstairs know that I’m doing everything I can to get my body right and be out on the field and give everything I have — I’ve played through injuries throughout my whole career.”
Tannehill has been victim to numerous injuries over the years and this season has been no different, but he is making the most of the situation going forward and has not lost sight of his goals.
“Honestly, I haven’t put a whole lot of thought into it. I have a lot of belief in myself. I know what I can bring to the table wherever it is. But I want to be here. I want to finish my career as a Dolphin and win a championship here. That’s what they brought me here for and that’s what I came to do.”
