In a bit of positive news for the Miami Dolphins fans and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, Miami will reportedly have Terron Armstead, its star offensive tackle, for today's game vs. the Las Vegas Raiders despite Armstead having missed practice all week.

While the Dolphins have and continue to struggle with injuries, Armstead will be suiting up to protect Tagovailoa as Miami tries to string two wins together for the first time this season.

“Dolphins Pro Bowl LT Terron Armstead, who didn't practice at all this week with a knee injury and for rest reasons, is playing today, source said,” NFL Network's Ian Rapoport wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Since missing the Dolphins' Week 4 loss to the Tennessee Titans with a concussion, Armstead has played every offensive snap for Miami. He dealt with a shoulder injury in Week 2, though, when he got banged up during a disastrous game against the Buffalo Bills, during which Tagovailoa sustained a frightening concussion, at least his third in less than two years.

Fortunately for Tagovailoa, he managed to return a month and a half later in a 28-27 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He then nearly led the Dolphins to victory against the Bills in a rematch before beating the Rams on ‘Monday Night Football' last week.

The Dolphins are 3-6 this season but remain in contention for a playoff spot albeit unlikely. Miami currently sits in 10th place in the AFC and, according to the NFL's Playoff Picture tool, has a 10% chance to make it into the postseason.

With a win over the lowly Raiders, the Dolphins' playoff odds only slightly improve to 13%, but they still have two games vs. the New York Jets (3-7), one game against the New England Patriots (3-7), and face the Cleveland Browns (2-7) later in the season. Wins in each of those games would seem like a must if Miami has any legitimate chance of being among the top 7 in the AFC.

The Dolphins and Raiders kick off at 1 p.m. ET today in Miami.
