There were a ton of question marks that swirled around quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's situation heading into the 2020 NFL Draft due to his hip injury which abruptly ended his three-year collegiate stint. Despite the uncertainty, the Miami Dolphins still proceeded to select the Hawaiian native with the fifth overall pick in the draft.

Now that he has finally recovered and made his way as a starter of the team, Dolphins offensive coordinator Chan Gailey said that he sees the same quarterback who impressed them as the leader of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

“It looks like it to me,” Gailey said, via Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post. “I can’t see a real difference. So physically is the one thing that you had the concern about and I think he kind of relieved all our thoughts about that the other night.”

Tua Tagovailoa continues to impress under center in his second game as the newly-instated QB1 of the team. Though the squad relied more on the defensive rotation, the Dolphins snagged a 28-17 win against the Los Angeles Rams in the rookie's debut as a starter. He recorded 93 passing yards on 12-of-22 passes completed along with a passing touchdown.

The 22-year-old playmaker came up with a better showing as he threw for 248 yards on 20-of-28 completions to go with two touchdowns to upset the streaking Arizona Cardinals via a 34-31 victory. The win lifted the Fins to a 5-3 record to remain in the thick of the playoff race midway through the 2020 season.

With his good performances as of late, Tua Tagovailoa is hoping to prove that the Dolphins made the right decision to entrust him with the keys to the franchise and is aiming to lead them to better campaigns moving forward.
