Free agent quarterback Jameis Winston will unlikely return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he led the NFL in passing yards in the 2019 campaign, after the NFC South franchise surprisingly agreed to a deal with future Hall of Fame signal-caller Tom Brady. With that being said, the Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins have emerged as the favorites to sign the former first-overall pick of the 2015 draft, per BetOnline.
The Dolphins lead the pack in pursuit of the one-time Pro Bowl gunslinger, at +100, while the Redskins are not far behind at +300.
Winston, 26, was a Heisman Trophy winner at Florida State and looked like the real deal in his rookie season with the Buccaneers before finding trouble limiting turnovers over his five-year professional tenure in Tampa Bay.
The Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots round out the pack at +700 each, and fellow Florida franchise Jacksonville Jaguars trails behind with odds at +800 to land Jameis Winston.

The Dolphins, meanwhile, have targeted Alabama southpaw Tua Tagovailoa in the 2020 NFL Draft. Miami has the fifth overall pick in the draft class and initially set a meeting up with the national champion QB, whose 2019 collegiate season ended abruptly with a hip injury before the coronavirus outbreak shut down teams' facilities.
Winston could go to LA, too, as free agent veteran gunslinger Philip River signed a deal with the Indianapolis Colts. The Chargers, however, like the Dolphins, are another team potentially taking a QB in the first round of the draft.
