The Miami Dolphins drafted the future of their franchise when they called on Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa with the fifth pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. The Dolphins stuck with veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to start the season; though it hasn't gone all that swell, sitting with  a 2-3 record.

Fitzpatrick has thrown for seven touchdowns and five interceptions during the first five games of the season. Given that, time is ticking for Tua Tagovailoa to be given snaps. Matt Williamson and Brian Peacock of the daily Peacock and Williamson podcast on the Locked On Podcast Network discussed a creative way to get Tua Tagovailoa involved in the games for the Dolphins.

Peacock: What’s going on in Miami with Tua? He’s got to play at some point right? But with the way they’re rolling right now you don’t want to take Fitzmagic out of there.

Williamson: Right. You have got to keep rolling with it. I mean, there are seven playoff teams and you have got a shot to be one of them. I think you’ve just got to just keep rolling strong until you’re out of it unless Fitz really stinks up the joint. Although, I think it would be a good idea to give Tua one series a game.

Peacock: You have to get him in somehow at some point. We did this earlier in the season and we looked at the schedule and said that week six was the time you start to put Tua Tagovailoa in. It’s going to be more difficult but you have to be Tua in on the field in games.
