After a tough start to the season, the Vikings have rattled off three straight wins and are in a situation to make a playoff run. The hosts of Peacock and Williamson, a daily NFL podcast on the Locked On Podcast Network, discussed the rest of the season for the Vikings and how they could look at the end of the regular season.

Peacock: They were 1-5 and they’ve won three straight and now, look at this schedule for this Minnesota Vikings team that has already won three straight. You’ve got the Cowboys, Panthers, Jaguars coming up next. That could be six straight games and be pretty easily over .500 and then you’re talking about a team that would be 7-5 getting ready to make a playoff run. Then they have the Bears again, the Lions, they also have the Bucs, and the Saints at the end of the season. If they lose to the Bucs and the Saints and win the rest of those games, this is a 9-7 team. Could the squeak in?

Williamson: Maybe. This goes to my point with the Bears though, and I’m guilty of this sometimes too. It’s Halloween and you feel like you know the book on a team (like the Vikings). These coaches across the league as a whole are miraculous. Guys like Zimmer, Belichick, they’re allowed to make their team better throughout the year. The Bears are getting no better at all. That’s got to be so frustrating.
