Rumors started circulating in June that the fourth-year Vikings Pro Bowler was looking for a new contract and he would consider holding out if a new deal was not made in time for training camp. On Friday, however, Cook stated his love for the organization and community, per Heavy.
“I walk in this building with a smile because I love being in Minnesota,” Dalvin Cook added. “This is where I want to be at. This is what I love to do. I was gonna be here regardless of whatever speculations came up… I’ve been grinding all offseason — hitting the weights, hitting the field, getting better at my craft and at my position.”
This is good news for Vikings fans, as it would seem as though Cook is all-in this season and will work on his contract situation in the future.
