Coming into the 2018 NFL season, the Minnesota Vikings could not have been more excited to see second-year running back Dalvin Cook back on the field. After being forced out of last season due to a torn ACL, Cook was coming back looking to prove a point and be the workhorse running back that the Vikings drafted him to be.
Unfortunately, Cook has gotten off to an incredibly slow start this season. He has also been dealing with some nagging injuries and was even forced to miss last week's game.
According to a new report from Field Yates of ESPN, Cook was a full participant in Thursday's practice. That is some great news for the Vikings, who desperately need to figure out their ground game.
Good news: Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (hamstring) practiced in full today. Would indicate he's ready to return this Sunday vs. the Cardinals.

Cook has not shown the kind of speed and power that he did early last season before the injury. Minnesota has been a bit worried about him, but it sounds like he is much more healthy than he has been recently.
Throughout the first three games that Cook has played this season, his numbers have been bad. He has carried the football 36 time for just 98 yards and no touchdowns. Those numbers give him a 2.7 yards per carry average.
Last season in four games, Cook rushed for 354 yards and two touchdowns on just 74 carries.
At 23 years old, the Vikings still have a lot of confidence in Cook. They believe that he will figure things out and be a major difference maker for the team moving forward.
Minnesota is prepared to face off against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon. That matchup should give Cook a chance to break out of his struggles. His health has been a concern, but it sounds like things are beginning to look up for him.
