The Minnesota Vikings fell to the Green Bay Packers by a score of 23-10 on Monday night and watched the Packers clinch the NFC North division title on their own turf.

On Tuesday, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said that his team just didn't have enough to do that itself:

“Winning the division is great because you get a home playoff game, but we weren't good enough to do that,” said Zimmer, according to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press. “We'll just try to do something better (in the playoffs).”

Minnesota will be in the postseason, but it may certainly end up lament the fact that it didn't secure at least one home playoff game.

The Vikings are 10-5 on the year, rebounding from a rough 2-2 start in which the wide receivers did not seem happy with quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Since that point, Cousins and Minnesota's offense have taken off, and with a stout defense, the Vikings look like legitimate threats in a deep NFC.

However, the Vikings' lack of success against winning teams may be somewhat of a concern heading into the playoffs.

As it stands, Minnesota has beaten just one club with a winning record all season long, which came against the Philadelphia Eagles back on Oct. 13.

The Vikings have played four other contests against above .500 squads and have lost all of them, including a pair of losses to the Packers.

Minnesota has never won a Super Bowl and has not made a Super Bowl appearance since the 1976-77 campaign.

The Vikings will take on the Chicago Bears in their regular season finale on Sunday.
