The Minnesota Vikings have been one of the NFC's hottest teams in recent weeks and have been competing for a playoff spot all season long. In fact, not only are they contending for a playoff spot, they are just one game behind the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North division standings. Add in the fact that they play the Packers this week on Monday Night Football and they can take a big leap forward.

With that being said, the Vikings have officially clinched a playoff spot. The clinch came due to the Los Angeles Rams losing on a last-second field goal to the San Francisco 49ers.

Following the playoff berth, the Vikings took to Twitter to celebrate making it to the playoffs.

Needless to say, no one will want to see this team in the playoffs. Kirk Cousins is playing the best football of his career and Dalvin Cook has been one of the top running backs in the NFL. Cook's health is a major question mark as he is dealing with a shoulder injury that will keep him out of this week's matchup, but he should get some rest heading into the playoffs.

Minnesota has a talented roster and Mike Zimmer is getting the best out of them. If they can find a way to knock the Packers off this week, they will have a chance to win the division.

All of that being said, congratulations are in order to the Vikings. Minnesota is going to be a force to be reckoned with come playoff time.
