The Vikings shipped off Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills, but the New England Patriots and Washington Redskins were also involved in trade discussions. According to Albert Breer of NBC Boston, the Redskins had the most interest, but they weren't willing to part with the second overall pick. In turn, it made it hard to swing a deal.
The Patriots were another team that talked to the Vikings about Stefon Diggs on Monday. The Redskins had interest, too, but their draft pick situation (they weren't going to trade the second overall pick, and have no second-rounder) made it tough.
So Buffalo it is.

Stefon Diggs had many fallouts with the Vikings the last year. Although the team tried to downplay it, it's clear it was time for a change. After Kirk Cousins and the Vikings agreed to a contract extension, Diggs tweeted that it was time for a new beginning.
Diggs even responded to a fan about the situation.

The trade for the Bills and Vikings was really a win-win for both teams. For the Bills they get a true number one receiver who is going to open up the field in Stefon Diggs, providing Josh Allen another target.
For the Vikings, they would have loved to have Diggs back. However, it's clear he wasn't happy and they got back quite the haul. The Vikings received a 1st, 5th, and 6th round pick in 2020 and a 4th round pick in 2021.
For the Vikings, the big question now is who will they get to add to the receiving corps. They still have Adam Thielen, but outside of him they don't have a lot of production on the roster. With the Vikings two first-round draft picks, one will probably be used on a wide receiver.
