The New England Patriots are 4-0 to start the year. Not only are they 4-0, but they've looked utterly dominant.

Outside of their Week 4 game with the Buffalo Bills (one of the best defenses in football), the offense has been phenomenal. Meanwhile, the defense hasn't taken a play off all year. It's incredibly hard to move down the field on them, let alone score.

Meanwhile, the Washington Redskins have begun the year with an 0-4 record. Not only are they 0-4, but they look absolutely miserable. They've been humiliated countless times this year and it looks like major changes could be coming soon.

Due to all this, the Patriots are laughably big favorites despite being the away team. However, it is the NFL and anything can happen.

With that in mind, here are four bold predictions for the Patriots Week 5 matchup with the Redskins.

Sony Michel Scores Multiple Touchdowns

Sony Michel, Patriots, Fantasy Football

I'm a staunch defender of Sony Michel. Sure, this year hasn't started off perfectly for him, but he's far too talented for things to continue going so poorly.

It also helps that he's going up against the Redskins. That means a few things. First, the Patriots will probably have really good starting field position pretty often.

Second, the Patriots will run the ball a lot because this game could get out of hand pretty quickly.

Third, the defense hasn't been good. All year I've told people to get ready for Washington's defense because they'd turn it around. They're far too talented of a group. However, that hasn't happened after four weeks.

As long as the coaching staff is still in place and they're running the schemes that they're running, this talented group could be wasted.

With that in mind, Michel is going to pick at the bones of a defense that simply doesn't have it.

Jarrett Stidham Gets Playing Time

It will get to the “there's no reason for having Tom Brady out there anymore” point. Stidham will get a little bit of playing time and a chance to show what he's got. Some people do think very highly of him. Some believe he could be Brady's successor should the Hall of Fame QB ever actually retire.

I'm not going to predict any big stats for him. He's still a rookie. Washington's defense hasn't been good this year but is still talented. Don't expect Stidham to go in there and light them up. The Redskins aren't that bad.

New England will be up by more than three scores with a decent amount of clock left. Why risk injury to Brady? Take him out and give the rookie some in-game reps.

Defense Continues Elite Path

The Redskins offense was actually really good the first two weeks. Then they looked bad against the Chicago Bears in Week 3.

Week 4 was troublesome. Washington couldn't get anything going against the Giants. Case Keenum missed Trey Quinn twice when he was wide open that would've resulted in touchdowns but instead were overthrows.

After a miserable Keenum for nearly a half of football, the Redskins threw Dwayne Haskins to the wolves. He looked good for the first drive but ended up throwing three interceptions and also missing a wide open Trey Quinn (by not throwing him the ball).

Now the Redskins are turning to Colt McCoy, who is returning from a scary leg injury from last year.

Don't count on much from McCoy. He has barely practiced and this offense isn't going to help him much. Wide receiver Terry McLaurin might not be available (and the offense looked dreadful without him).

New England Causes Jay Gruden His Job

There are a lot of reports that the Redskins are seriously considering moving on from head coach Jay Gruden.

That being said, a lot of people will tell you they aren't going to do it just yet. It's too early in the year and no one expects them to beat the Patriots anyways. Those are the two big arguments.

However, the Patriots aren't just going to beat the Redskins. They're going to humiliate them. New England's defense might have one of the most dominant performances of the year. As mentioned above, the Redskins offense is lost and injured.

Meanwhile, the offense will bounce-back after last week. Brady will prove that last week was a fluke and Washington's the poor defense that has to deal with it.

Such a miserable loss will cost Gruden his job. Back to square one for Washington as New England moves to 5-0.
