One team is going to get great value for a three-year starter who saw nothing but success at Georgia. Jake Fromm led the Bulldogs to three straight SEC Championship Games, winning one of them. Georgia made a National Championship Game appearance during Fromm's freshman year. Now, Fromm will enter the NFL Draft in 2020 and the New England Patriots could get their heir to Tom Brady.
There has been rumblings that Brady and the Patriots could split up once his contract is finished. It seems as though the Patriots have been searching for his replacement for years dating back to Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett. That proved to be premature as Brady added another MVP award and Super Bowl ring to his collection.
With Brady's time coming to an end, it is time the Patriots seriously look for their next quarterback. In the 2020 NFL Draft, Fromm and the Patriots could be an idea match on day two.
Could Fromm be next in Foxborough?
Fromm has thrown for over 2,600 yards in each of his three seasons under center at Georgia. He currently has 76 touchdowns and 18 interceptions as a Bulldog. He is a mature player with professional arm talent that could benefit from sitting for a season or two before starting.

Jalen Hurts is starting to move up the draft board and Jordan Love remains one of the best kept secrets, but has concerns. Fromm will be the player who ends up giving a team the best value. He is not the attractive pick, so his name has fallen into the second round. If the Patriots are searching for a new quarterback and Fromm is there, it should be done.
The Patriots will be picking near the bottom of the draft. They will not be using their first round pick on a quarterback. This gives them even better value considering they will be near the bottom of the second round.
Aaron Rodgers is always the example when discussing the benefit of a quarterback sitting for a few years. The times have changed, but Fromm could have that chance in New England. Who better to sit behind than Brady? Fromm would have the chance to be a sponge and learn from arguably the best quarterback and coach ever.
Bill Belichick is always three steps ahead of the rest of the league and he does not let anyone in on his plans. The Patriots may have no interest in taking a quarterback. If they do, however, Fromm would be an ideal option for them in the second round.
