There is no question that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is widely considered the greatest of all time. However, Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw feels the media should pump the brakes on that notion.

Talk of Brady's status among the greats has been brewing for quite some time now. Regardless, Bradshaw feels there are a number of players better than him, via TMZ Sports.

“No. Did you ever see Jim Brown play? Walter Payton, Barry Sanders,” Bradshaw said. “You guys are too quick to anoint someone ‘The Greatest Ever' and that's not right.”

Bradshaw's opinion on the matter certainly carries plenty of weight as one of the most legendary quarterbacks of all time. Despite his status as a gunslinger, it is clear that he has an affinity for some of the best running backs in NFL history. When debating all-time running backs, Jim Brown, Walter Payton, and Barry Sanders are usually at the top of any list. However, it is safe to say that none of them accomplished the level of success Brady has maintained for nearly the last two decades.

When it comes to individual or team honors, there is no player that surpasses Brady. He is a three-time MVP, 13-time Pro Bowler, and a five-time member of an All-Pro team. He also has five Super Bowl rings and was awarded the MVP in four of those games. More importantly, he still has yet to show any signs of slowing down despite being 41 years of age.

The problem with the G.O.A.T. debate when it comes to football is that it is all a matter of perspective. It is clear that Bradshaw's criteria is not reliant on just mere accomplishments. However, it is safe to relegate Brady's status as the best quarterback of all time.
