Tom Brady will be in the Hall of Fame the second he's eligible for it. However, as of right now, he's still active.
The superstar quarterback has decided to come back for at least one more season in 2020. There's been a twist this time though. He's not re-signed with the New England Patriots, or at least he hasn't yet.
According to Adam Schefter, there's a pretty simple reason for that. The newly proposed CBA.

This is something you could be seeing from a few people. Players won't be able to structure their contracts with any team if they don't know what the rules are.
You would have to imagine this means that Brady isn't discussing contracts with other teams either. He might be talking to some teams at the moment, but if he isn't trying to work out a contract with the Patriots due to the proposed CBA, he likely isn't working on it with any team.
Article Continues BelowOnce the CBA is decided upon, expect Brady to start moving fast. You could argue he will take his time and find the team and situation that works best for him.
The truth though, is that the Patriots and Brady have a ton of history. So they probably already have an idea what they want to get done. Things are just being held up by the wait for the new CBA.
The end of Brady's career is coming closer. Due to that, the Patriots need to start thinking about life after the quarterback.
However, they could still have him for another season or two. Don't expect them to pass up on that opportunity.
