The New England Patriots suffered a tough loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday. It knocked them out of first place in the AFC, which could be detrimental for their playoff run. After the game, Bill Belichick wasn't pleased and was a bit short with the media. Monday, he apologized for his actions.
According to Zack Cox, the first thing Belichick wanted to say was his apology to the media. The Patriots' head coach has always been entertaining in his interviews with the media. He's either short with his answers and provides little to no information. Or, he does the exact opposite and provides detailed answers to simple questions.

Apparently, Bill Belichick didn't feel right after Saturday and felt the need to apologize for his actions. It's a very respectable move on his part. It doesn't change the outcome of the game, as the Patriots find themselves in an unfavorable position in the AFC, but it's not the end of the world. Even so, Belichick apologized to the media as Mike Reiss shares the full statement.

New England still has a solid chance to make the postseason and potentially win the AFC East yet again. The Patriots spent one year not playing well and have already returned as contenders. It's an impressive turnaround, especially considering some franchises stay in the rut for multiple years.
Although this franchise lost their game, we should see the Patriots close out the season strong. They take on the Buffalo Bills in Week 16, which is an incredibly important matchup. Everything will be on the line in that game, as it'll bring clarity on the AFC East division.
