New England Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan has not been a big part of the offense for close to half the season. After being targeted 32 times in Weeks 1-8, the veteran wideout has been thrown to by Tom Brady just 12 times in seven games, making six catches for 135 yards.
Hogan admits he would like to see a bit more of the ball and help the team, which is just part of being in the league.
“I think you're just being a competitor,” Hogan said per Phil Perry of NBC Boston. “You want to go out there and do what's best for the team, help your team move the ball down the field, make plays, help them win football games. It's all about opportunities in this league and when you get the opportunities you have to make the most of them.”
Hogan also shot down any concerns about his connection with Brady as the reason for his lack of touches.

Is the level of chemistry they have with each other as good as it's always been? “Absolutely,” he answered.
With Josh Gordon’s sudden departure from the team coupled with Rob Gronkowski not being the same force he’s been in the past, the Patriots will need help from their other wide receivers besides Julian Edelman if they are to make another deep postseason run.
That includes Hogan, who has come up with some huge performances over the last two postseasons. He had that incredible nine-catch game for 180 yards and two touchdowns in the AFC title game against the Steelers in 2017 and had 128 yards in the Super Bowl last year.
If Hogan can snap out of his slump and provide another great game like that, the Pats might just be able to make it back to the Super Bowl for a third-straight year.
