After a prolonged wait, wide receiver Josh Gordon finally made his much-awaited debut for the New England Patriots during a 38-7 annihilation of the Miami Dolphins in Foxboro.
Gordon did not figure much on the Patriots’ offense, though, as he only had two catches for a total of 32 yards. Nevertheless, Gordon sounds optimistic about his future as part of the Patriots’ receiving corps, especially about his chemistry with Tom Brady, whom the wideout had plenty of praises for following the Miami game, per Nicole Young of Boston.com.

It’s been awesome to have his support and his love, as well as the rest of the teammates and staff here. Tom’s a passionate guy, and I love that and I love the game of football. I think we’re gonna mesh just fine.”
In need of additional playmakers, the Patriots negotiated with the Cleveland Browns to acquire Josh Gordon via a trade. It was a low-risk gamble for New England, as it only cost the team a 2019 fifth-round pick. An extremely talented playmaker, albeit one that comes with a checkered record off the field, Gordon is looking to jumpstart his career while he’s still at his prime.
The 27-year-old Gordon, who sat out last the Patriots’ Week 3 matchup with the Detroit Lions due to a hamstring injury, is expected to play a bigger role in New England’s attack moving forward. He can put up better numbers next week when Tom Brady and the Patriots take on the Indianapolis Colts at home.
