Well, it was worth it: the KDKA employee who added the “known cheater” graphic to a video featuring Tom Brady has been fired.

According to the New York Post, though the now-terminated employee wasn't named, the CBS affiliate station was not amused by the “accident” that quickly went viral on the Internet.

“While fans are entitled to have personal opinions, we have a journalistic responsibility to provide unbiased reporting. The graphic that appeared Monday violated our news standards. The individual who created the graphic no longer works for KDKA-TV.”

Even though Brady is a good quarterback, on his own — he has five Super Bowl rings to prove it, after all — he's not without his controversies. In addition to the so-called “Spygate” scandal, in which it was revealed that the Patriots “spied” on opposing teams to gain an unfair advantage, there's also the infamous “Deflategate” scandal that follows Brady wherever he goes.

The Deflategate scandal, which took place right before the AFC championship that year, got Tom Brady a four-game suspension in the 2014-2015 season.

Nevertheless, you can catch Tom Brady and the New England Patriots face off against the Rams in the Super Bowl this Sunday.

Brady put together another solid season for the Patriots in 2018, completing 65.8 percent of his passes for 4,355 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Winning another Super Bowl would certainly add to his legacy and bid to be called the best quarterback to ever play in the NFL.
