Aside from bringing in some solid additions this offseason around quarterback Mac Jones, the New England Patriots are also set to make major changes to their offense as a whole.
It appears Jones is fully behind that idea too as he voiced on Thursday to reporters.

Mac Jones on the #Patriots offense streamlining the terminology: “I think the idea for every offense is to have an identity. Play fast, put pressure on defenses."

The Patriots signal-caller also revealed he'd like for his squad to have some “variety”. Via Andrew Callahan:

New England traded for wideout DeVante Parker, who will likely become their top WR from the get-go and one of Jones' favorite weapons. While he is coming off an average season for the Dolphins, Parker should have more opportunities to flourish with the Patriots.
Although Belichick hasn't exactly pinpointed what will change within the offense, they're making sure to keep Jones in the loop:
“We do everything we can to make it as good for him as we can,” Belichick said. “He’s our quarterback.”
The Patriots scored 27.2 points per game in 2021 but were one of the better passing offenses in the league and also rushed for over 125 yards per game, which ranked within the top 15. With more additions and another year of experience under Jones' belt, New England will be hoping to take another step with their offense. They certainly have the right man in Belichick to implement new strategies.
