New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was drafted 20 years ago, and on the anniversary, ESPN has been celebrating the day NFL history was changed. SportsCenter tweeted out a video of Mike Trico announcing that the Patriots selected Brady.

In the clip, NFL draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. talked about being a good quarterback but wondered how his lack of mobility would hurt him in the NFL.

On Thursday, Kiper also revealed his predraft scouting report of Brady, and some was spot on, but some he was a little off on.

“He's a straight dropback passer who stands tall in the pocket, doesn't show nervous feet, and does a nice job working through his progressions. He's not going to try to force the action, rarely trying to perform beyond his capability.”

Kiper also added that he is a very accurate passer, and knows exactly when to take a little off his pass to give his receiver a better chance to catch the ball. Kiper also questioned how Brady would respond when he was forced to take more chances down the field.

“He's a straight dropback passer who stands tall in the pocket, doesn't show nervous feet, and does a nice job working through his progressions. He's not going to try to force the action, rarely trying to perform beyond his capability.”

The big question about Brady was his mobility, but he has proven throughout his time in the league that he can still find a lot of success even if he can't outrun anyone.
