The New England Patriots are coming off yet another Super Bowl win. Following their latest championship, they had a ton of notable departures. Rob Gronkowski retired, defensive coordinator Brian Flores left for the Dolphins, left tackle Trent Brown left for the Raiders, and pass-rusher Trey Flowers left for the Lions.

But as the Patriots commence their annual replenishing at talent, they haven't looked too concerned.

One position where they've been stacking talent at, they didn't actually lose anybody this offseason. As Darin Gantt of ProFootballTalk.com points out, the Patriots are making moves at center.

The team already has incumbent starter David Andrews on the roster, and they just drafted Hjalte Froholdt out of Arkansas in the fourth round. They didn't stop there though, as they also signed Tyler Gauthier as an undrafted free agent. They clearly really wanted Gauthier in the fold, as they gave the Miami product $70K guaranteed to sign.

Andrews graded out as Pro Football Focus' seventh-best guard last season, and there's no indication his job is in any danger. He's under contract for two more years at pretty reasonable rates, and it's likely the Patriots are just building depth. Still, it's notable that they're investing all these resources in the position.

It's possible they plan on using either Froholdt or Gauthier at other positions. Both players have some experience playing guard, and New England always values versatility.

The Patriots had one of the best offensive lines in the league last year, which played a huge role in their success.

As such, it's not surprising that they're always planning for the future.
