Through his first eight years in the league with the New England Patriots, Pro Bowl tight end Rob Gronkowski has been a centerpiece of the puzzle offensively in the passing game as quarterback Tom Brady's primary target.

This has also seen the two develop a unique bond on the field over that span that has played a great part in the two finding success on the field together. Gronkowski discussed their bond in greater detail earlier this week voicing that the two have a strong connection that was nourished behind their preparation for games and offseason work together, according to Tyler Sullivan of 247 Sports.

“Just throughout our career,” he said when asked about their friendship formed. “I would say basically the friendships are developed over football too. Over studying football together, getting together in the offseason, extra stuff during the season and you just want to build that up so you can be on the same page and be the best chemistry possible that you can be.”

This has been the basis of their bond that has helped them push their bond to great heights together on the field that has seen the team have much-sustained success being apart of two Super Bowl winning teams and playoff appearances in each of the last eight years.

Although Gronkowski has dealt with injuries for sizeable chunks of his career, he has been a huge factor as one of the primary targets for Brady that has led to him to notch 76 total career touchdowns with him, which is the second-most from a quarterback to a tight end in NFL history. This has continued to remain the basis of the Patriots' passing game in 2018

It will likely remain a fixture in the offense at least through the 2019 season as both are on deals that expire after that campaign. For the time being, it is clear that Brady and Gronkowski have developed a unique bond during their time together with the Patriots.
