Tom Brady put together a legendary career with the New England Patriots before joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season, but it wasn't always smooth sailing for him.
Ahead of his 10th career Super Bowl, Brady admitted that he didn't know where New England was in the United States when he was drafted by the Patriots. He âlanded in Providenceâ and was confused:
Tom Brady said when he was drafted by the Patriots, he didn't know where New England was. "I landed in Providence," he said, "and that really screwed me up." #Patriots #GoBucs

Brady, a native of San Mateo, California, was drafted by the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft out of Michigan, so he has been all over the country throughout his life.
At the least, this story is something for Brady to look back and laugh at as he continues to put together the finishing touches on a remarkable NFL career. From an unknown sixth-round pick, Brady has evolved into the greatest quarterback of all time with six Super Bowls with the Patriots to his name, with an opportunity to get his seventh on Feb. 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
It's safe to say that Brady found his way early in his career with the Patriots, as he wound up having 20 fantastic seasons with New England. But there was once a time when he had no clue where New England was located in the United States.
