New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is quietly entering the final year of his deal. Perhaps the biggest name quarterback in the entire league is set to be a free agent at the end of the year, but it hasn't garnered too much attention. It's possible it's because everyone has just assumed something will get done at some point, or that the Patriots winning yet another Super Bowl has overshadowed it.

Whatever the reason, it's going to start getting more and more attention as the start of the season gets closer. Speaking to reporters after a recent training camp practice, Brady dismissed any concern over his situation and instead made light of it, per Darren Hartwell of NBC Sports.

“Have I earned (an extension)? I don't know, that's up for talk show debate,” Brady told reporters Wednesday at Patriots training camp. “What do you guys think? Should we take a poll? Talk to Mr. (Patriots owner Robert) Kraft, come on.”

When asked if he was fine going year to year with his contract at this point in his career, Brady said things are even more tenuous than that.

“We're all day to day if you think about it,” Brady replied. “None of us are really promised anything. So, I'm trying to do the best I can today and just let those things work themselves out.”

Brady is being humble, but it would be a major shock if the Patriots don't tack on at least another year to his contract soon. The real question is how much money they'll give him, as Brady has taken a bit of a discount on his base salary in recent years.
