A knee injury might be the reason for the sudden dropoff of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady over the last couple of weeks. If it is, Brady doesn't want to talk about it.
After a dreadful day under center during a win over the Buffalo Bills in which Brady threw for just 146 yards and two interceptions, the five-time Super Bowl winner did not want to discuss his knee.
“I am not getting into specifics with injuries,” said Brady, according to Ryan Hannable of WEEI. “It just doesn't make any sense. … It is football. There are a lot of guys dealing with a lot of things.”
Brady also insisted that he feels “great,” shrugging off the talk of a potential MCL sprain in his left knee.

“Well, I think overall, our passing game will be better, could be better, but we ran the ball well and that offset it,” he said. “Some days it's the running game, some days it's the passing game. We'll see what happens next week, but I have a lot of confidence in our quarterback, our receivers, our offensive line, our protection. When we need to throw, hopefully we'll be able to throw if we have to. If we need to run it, hopefully we'll be able to run.”
The Patriots improved to 10-5 with the win over the Buffalo Bills and can nail down a first-round bye with a win over the New York Jets next Sunday. Hopefully for Brady, New England can clinch the extra week of rest.
