New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady landed on the team’s injury report for the first time this season as he was limited in practice due to a knee issue.
However, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Brady’s injury is a relatively minor one and won’t stop him from making the start against the New York Jets on Sunday.
Brady hurt his knee while catching a pass during a trick play in their loss to the Tennessee Titans. Brady ended up going 21 of 41 for 254 yards with no touchdown in that game as the Patriots fell, 34-10.

It’s noteworthy that despite having the bye week to rest up, Brady still wasn’t able to fully recover from that knee problem. But at 41 years of age, it's not too surprising that Brady’s body now needs a bit more time to recuperate from niggling injuries. Luckily, it’s nothing too serious and his limited participation was likely just a precaution.
Moreover, Brady should be good to go against the Jets. And when he does, he will have a golden opportunity to get back on track as he faces a struggling Jets squad that was thrashed 41-10 by a Matt Barkley-led Buffalo Bills team in their last game. Even if he’s not quite at 100 percent, Brady should have more than enough to lead the Patriots to the win against their troubled division rivals.
